President's Message

Happy March!

Its a busy month at Smith Elementary this month and there are so many exciting things happening ! While the Read-a-Thon is still a month away, we have the bookmark design contest coming up, so don't forget to have your students submit their artwork if they want to participate! We also have the Teacher Experience Auction this month where you can bid on an activity for your students to do with their favorite teacher and all the money earned goes back to the school! Multicultural week ends our month before we go into spring break and is an AMAZING EVENT! If you are interested in signing up for a country table or preforming at the event take a look at the flyer!

This month also holds a very important PTA meeting in which we are electing the PTA Board for the 2025/2026 school year, so if you can be on for the meeting, please do! Please take a look at the Volunteers Section to see if there's anything you can do to help. I can not stress enough how much it means when to the school, the kids, and the other volunteers, when you are able to help on events the PTA puts on. We can not continue to do the events with the limited volunteers we have, so PLEASE take the time to look at where and when you can help.

Open PTA Positions

We have the following open Chair positions for our PTA:

Chair of Assemblies - Work with the PTA to pick and schedule the wonderful assemblies for the school throughout the year.
Kindness Week Chair - Work with the teaching staff on making Kindness Week an amazing event!

Teacher Experience Auction is BACK!

Does your student have a favorite teacher who they wish they could spend some more time with doing something super fun? Well now is your chance to make it happen!

Multicultural Festival

Travel all around the world, but never leave the school multipurpose room! Sign up today to host a country table or preform at the event!

Going once, going twice, DONATED!!!

We will have all the lost and found items outside the school for parents and students to go through one last day, on Wednesday March 5th at 1:30 pm. Any items not picked up that day will be donated to charity and gone forever, so COME LOOK FOR YOUR STUFF!
